Visiting Chris Code
While in Exeter I journeyed along the coastline of England to visit Chris Code. Chris is a professor at the University of Exeter and editor of the journal Aphasiology. I have known Chris since the early 1990s when he was a professor at The University of Sydney. He was the first person to encourage me to write a book (I have written a few since), and to join the International Clinical Phonetics and Linguistics Association (I am now vice president). He also has been a very supportive executive board member of the International Journal of Speech-Language Pathology, and has continued to encourage me throughout my career. It was such a pleasure to see Chris and his wife again.
