ECIR at 32nd World Congress of the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP)

Members of the Early Childhood Interdisciplinary Research (ECIR) Sturt Scheme attended the 32nd World Congress of the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP) in Auckland New Zealand. https://ialpauckland2023.org/. Speech and teeth: Working with Caitlin in three countries

I am co-supervising Caitlin Hurley's research for her Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry that she is undertaking at the University of Western Australia. Over the past two months we have worked together in three countries: Australia, Austria and New Zealand.

What a joy it was to meet with members of the Speech-Language-Multilingualism team in Auckland New Zealand while at the 32nd World Congress of the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP). Members who were present were

Workshop: Qualitative Data Analysis in Communication Disorders Research

Today I attended the workshop titled "Qualitative Data Analysis in Communication Disorders Research" with members of our SLM and CSU team. The workshop was organised by Rena Lyons (Ireland) and Lindy McAllister (Australia) and covered the following topics:

Today begins the 32nd World Congress of the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP) in Auckland, New Zealand: https://ialpauckland2023.org/

There wre 1000 delegates from 48 countries in attendance. I am the Chair of the Child Speech Committee, so am on the Executive Board. Our team has a lot of presentations and duties. I am the Academic Chair of the first Plenary session. We are also presenting a number of papers including:

IALP Executive Board meeting

Today the Exceutive Board of the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP) in Auckland, New Zealand ahead of the congress that will be held all week. It was wonderful to met with colleagues, to represent the Child Speech Committee as Chair, and to discuss many issues relating to  professionals and people who are impacted by speech, language, communication, swallowing disorders.
