NSW Health Translational Research Grant team meeting

Today our NSW Health Translational Research Grant team met in Orange to begin writing our conference poster and journal article. We are almost finished collecting the data for our randomised controlled trial comparing advice, device, and therapy for children on speech pathology waiting lists. We spent a lot of time using the CONSORT statement to describe our sample, and prepare for writing. It was a very productive day.

NSW Health TRGS Grant update

Yesterday our NSW Health Translational Research Grant Scheme team met in Bathurst, Dubbo and Shepparton. It has been a very productive year of data collection, with 172 initial assessments being conducted (57 in Bathurst, 64 in Dubbo, and 51 in Shepparton), the intervention phases almost completed, and follow up assessments underway. We have had poster presentations accepted for the Speech Pathology Australia national conference next year, and are looking forward to analysing the data to find out the results of our randomised controlled trial in 2019.

"Waiting for speech pathology" grant meeting in Dubbo

Today our NSW Translational Research Grant team continued work on our Waiting for speech pathology grant with a face-to-face meeting at Dubbo Community Health. We worked on standardizing the research processes across the three research sites regarding assessment, transcription,  and the advice and therapy sessions. Thank you to Sally and Kate for hosting the meeting, providing delicious treats, and an inspiring book collection.
