The Queen's dedication to service

This week saw the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. I was honoured to receive The Queens Award 40 years ago, and my certificate contains her personal signature. To receive the Queens Award, there was a rigorous set of requirements, including volunteering, which I undertook over many months in the children's ward at my local hospital. The Queen's dedication to service is echoed in the motto of Charles Sturt University - "For the public good". I thank the Queen for her dedication to service.
