Learning about Arts Out West's capacity building - including with people with disabilities

Today Tamara Cumming and I had our first meeting with colleagues at Arts Out West. They have many impressive programs - including many to support people with disabilities. We plan to collaborate as part of our research with the World Health Organization. What a wonderful opportunity to learn from the team and the artists. Here are some of their initiatives:

Inspiration for The Treehouse from CSU's FOAE Technical Officer

Today Karl Shead, Technical Officer for the Faculty of Arts and Education showed me around Building 1454 - the creative hub for the Faculty and School of Communication and Creative Industries. We had a wonderful brainstorm about how the facilities and resources could be used to create The Treehouse as a physical and virtual space for children's communication and research. Strengthening creative thinking: A presentation by Dr Ross Anderson from the Creative Engagement Lab

I really enjoyed this online presentation this morning by Dr Ross Anderson who talked about the recent research projects of the Creative Engagement Lab. Dr Anderson is currently assisting and consulting in a project with the Curriculum & Pedagogy Research Group and the Education Course Directors in the Faculty of Arts & Education. The website for the Creative Engagement Lab has the following introduction:
