This week (18-22 August, 2019) is the 31st World Congress of the International Association of Logopedics and Phoniatrics (IALP) in Taipei, Taiwan (
http://www.ialptaipei2019.org/). IALP is auspiced by the World Health Organization, and most professional associations across the world that are associated with speech, language and hearing attend. The 2019 Congress has been attended by 961 delegates from 46 countries. 2024 will be the 100th anniversary of IALP.
