The major topic we discussed was the 2025 conference and we also finalised revised extIPA diacritics.
ICPLA holds a biennial Symposium in different countries to allow members to meet and present research papers. The meetings typically last three days and include oral presentations, poster presentations, an ICPLA business meeting, and plenty of opportunity for informal discussions.

The 2025 ICPLA Conference will be from the 24th to 27th of June 2025 at the University of Patras, Conference and Cultural Centre, Greece, hosted by Dr Eleftheria Geronikou
Key Dates:
- Abstract Submission: Opens Tuesday 15th October, Closes Wednesday the 11th of December
- Notification of Acceptance: Wednesday 5th February, 2025
- Conference: 24th to 27th June, 2025
